Golden Globe for "Voices against silence"

The World Media Festival of Hamburg has awarded the Golden Globe for this example of best journalism. In addition, “Voices against silence” has two nominations for the main festival awards: the best of its category and the best of the festival, the Grand Prix. This inquiry is going to be solved at the Awards Ceremony on May 16, 2018 in the German city of Hamburg. Produced by RTVE, it was broadcasted by La2, with a screenplay by Curro Aguilera and filming by Enrique Pérez.

In more than 700 articles already published in DF, we have only interviewed two journalists and they are precisely Curro Aguilera and Enrique Pérez for their extraordinary professional quality and for their highlighted treatment of the first and second order of sexual harassment. Anyone who wants to learn or to teach how to make excellent documentaries or to really struggle against sexist violence will do well to look, debate and disseminate this artwork.

As the scriptwriter and the filmmaker stated in their interview for Diario Feminista, “Journalism has to be responsible, and on issues like this, even more,” Curro said. “While we were in contact with victims and we knew by first hand terrible stories protected, for example, in institutions’ power, as powerful as the University; from some mass media we were seeing how they worked in favor of the harassers demanding a supposed fairness”, Enrique concluded.
