The feminist who developed the first protocol against gender violence at a Spanish university, Harvard Dr. Marta Soler, has just posted this update on LinkedIn. Sources consulted by DF tell us that she did so in collaboration with Lidia Puigvert, the feminist who was the first student at a Spanish university to file a formal complaint regarding gender violence.

This reinstatement is the implementation of the rulings issued by the judges of Administrative Courts N. 7 and N. 14 in Barcelona. They had waited all summer for the UB Rector to implement that ruling, and now that the academic year has begun, the two feminists and sociology professors have decided to comply with the law and carry out the duties outlined in their contracts. Likewise, Soler, who was democratically elected in accordance with the law to serve a six-year term as Department Chair, is resuming her administrative duties.

DF and feminists, who are always opposed to all forms of gender violence and abuse, are overjoyed that two feminists who are so steadfast in upholding these values, and who have suffered such cruel and isolating gender violence precisely because they stand in solidarity with all victims, have finally seen justice prevail and the injustices done to them, both at the university and through the media lynching, rectified.
