So far, there have been only two court rulings regarding the case of the 16 anonymous accusations against the feminists who broke the silence on gender violence at Spanish universities.
The first ruling by a male judge was in favor of Marta Soler, the feminist who drafted the first protocol, and against the UB Rector. The second ruling has now been issued by a female judge in favor of Lidia Puigvert—who motivated the first complaint at the university back in 1995—and against the UB Rector. At this time, there are no other legal proceedings related to the case of the 16 anonymous accusations. Those affected say this constitutes a very clear form of isolating gender violence against them.
The present ruling upholds the appeal filed by Ms. Lidia Puigvert Mallart against the decision adopted by the Rector of the University of Barcelona on December 22, 2025, declares the decision null and void for violating Article 24.2 of the Spanish Constitution, and orders the defendant to reinstate the plaintiff to the full exercise of her teaching, research, and administrative duties from which she was temporarily suspended.
